Black Out 

There's no power at my place at the moment. I'm able to write and post this due to having a laptop and having my server and adsl modem on an uninterruptable power supply.

I'm sort of curious to find out when the power might be coming back on, so I can shut things down before the UPS's battery runs out (although when it gets critical it signals the server to turn things off). Western Power don't seem to update their webpages with outage information, but they do offer a phone number you can ring.

The ironic problem being that I only have a cordless phone and the base station has no power.

I hate paperwork.
