And so upon my chair I sit,
Waiting just a little bit
For this program to shutdown
All awhile I wear a frown.

This database may well be broken
'Tis Oracle, it should be spoken
Not even Larry knows what it's doing
It does not respond unto my cooing.

I've waited for two hours now,
Much longer I cannot allow
Of course, this is the student system
It is essential to the mission.

The time has come, it must be said
to face my foe and kill it dead
This action taken, with much gumption,
has the risk to cause corruption.

But the chance must be aweight'd
with access to data being delayed
But now, afraid, I bite the bullet
and yank upon the plug to pull it...

Success at last! I am now free!
For I have restarted this rogue db!
Finally I can now roam
Towards the place I call my home.

Long Awaited Housewarming 

Finallly, I think, it's about time for a housewarming.

It'll be next Saturday, 18th November.

It's a bit late notice, so thinking of starting at about 4pm (to allow for other commitments, or get children home or whatever) and going to late. Probably do a mass pizza run (to one of the chains, sadly) or something for those who are around at dinner time.

You'll have to bug me for the address, as I'm not posting that on the blog. My email isn't to hard to find - if you have an old @central.murdoch.edu.au address, just drop out the 'central' bit and make it @murdoch.edu.au. (Otherwise, I won't get it, and it won't bounce for 3 to 5 days)
